Different ways to greet (Formal and Informal)
When we meet someone else we usually say Hello at firts, in order to start a conversation we must say something kind and depending on who are you talking to we will use Formal or Informal way.
Formal Greeting
- Hello
- How are you?
- Good morning
- Good afternoon
- Good evening
- What are you doing?
- It's nice to meet you
- How is it going?
- How are you doing?
- Good to see you
- It is a pleasure to meet you
- How do you do?
- It is a honor to meet you
- Nice to meet you
Informal Greeting
- Hey!
- What's up?
- Howdy
- How are ya?
- Hi
- What's new?
- What's going on?
- How is it going?
- How are things?
- What's up?
- How is everything?
- How's life?
- Long time no see
Formal greetings are used with teachers, elders, police, or someone you don't know.
Informal greetings are commonly used with friends and family.
